The 2012 Summer Institute in Maryland

July 16-20 (Modules I and III)

July 23-27 (Modules II and IV)

Join us for our summer retreat in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains! The four modules of the institute can lead to the Dalcroze Certificate, or may simply be enjoyed as a personal learning experience. Daily classes in Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Solfege, Improvisation and Pedagogy will inspire and invigorate you while bringing a new dimension to what you already know about music.

In residence at the Lucy School, a seventeen-acre farm in Middletown, Maryland, the institute offers a tranquil retreat for focused studies. Classes take place in the school's state-of-the-art green building, and the 19th-century farmhouse offers rustic housing with a scenic view.
