Founded and staffed by the School Sisters of St. Francis, the center hosts who continue to host programs for individuals and groups of all faiths. New for 2014, students can enjoy private rooms on campus, with freshly-prepared meals provided.
Students can choose to pursue the internationally-recognized Jaques-Dalcroze Certificate, a credential authorizing its recipients to employ the principles of Jaques-Dalcroze education in all related fields. Certification requires successful completion of four one-week modules, including exams in Eurhythmics, Solfege, Improvisation, Pedagogy and Plastique Animée. Since the institute offers two weeks of study each summer, certification requires a minimum of two summers.
